Youth Theater
Inspiring young performers through engaging theater programs that build confidence and creativity.
Experience the Magic of Theater
Our year-round Youth Theater programs- including the NOVA and STARZ troupes during the fall and spring semesters, as well as our Summer Performing Arts Camp in June and July-, offer children in grades 2–12 the opportunity to explore acting, singing, and dancing in a supportive, creative environment. Throughout each session, students develop their skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships as they work together to present a performance for family, friends, and the community at the end of the semester.

Summer Performing Arts Camp
Performing Arts Camp, available for actors entering 3rd-8th grade, takes part in the longstanding J-Camp tradition of producing a hit show for family and friends! Campers will learn confidence, acting skills, vocal techniques, dancing, and movement by starring in a production of Disney’s Frozen Kids (Session 1), and Meredith Willson’s The Music Man (Session 2). Full attendance is encouraged by campers seeking a lead role. Campers will also participate in daily camp activities.

NOVA Youth Troupe
NOVA is an engaging theatre program for students in 2nd–5th grade that introduces young performers to acting, singing, and dancing in a supportive ensemble setting. The program runs in two sessions each year, one in the fall and one in the spring—with each session culminating in a 30-minute musical theatre production. Actors rehearse Fridays from 4:30–5:45 pm, and each production includes a tech week during the week leading up to the performance, with extended rehearsals daily from 3:45–6:00 pm, providing a full backstage and onstage theatre experience.

Rehearsals are held Fridays from 4:30–5:45 pm and Sundays from 2:00–5:00 pm, with additional tech week rehearsals during the week leading up to the performance from 5:00–8:00 pm, giving students an in-depth onstage and backstage performance experience.
