The Barshop JCC’s Jewish Journeys program offers a variety of events that bring Jewish traditions to life. From festive holiday celebrations to communal gatherings, these experiences are designed to engage individuals and families of all backgrounds.

Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM)

Join us as the Barshop Jewish Community Center and its partners present the 2nd annual series of arts and humanities events celebrating the richness of Jewish culture and traditions, with programs centered around Celebration, Community, Film, Israel, Literature, and Remembrance.

Throughout the month, An Artistic Journey will be on display, featuring works by Jewish artist Susan Butler. Stop by to experience this special exhibit.

Join us for a Free Community concert on Sunday, June 14, 4:00-5:00 pm. For more than 50 years, The Tzofim Friendship Caravan has been an amazing way to bring Israel to the community. It's a great show of Israeli song and dance, and after that, there is a schmoozing session with the audience to share stories. Our Tzofim are all scout leaders in their local scouting chapters and are picked from hundreds of applicants every year. Join us for a free Community event!

From El Paso to Houston and all points in between, ride along as we explore the lives of five pioneering women who chart their own course, helping others along the way by expanding access to education, healthcare, arts and culture, and the inherently American right to vote. Join us for an engaging reception prior to the film at 6:00pm with filmmaker Barbara Rosenthal. Drinks and Light Bites will be provided. USA Released: 2025 English 52 Minutes Discussion following the film with the filmmaker Barbara Rosenthal Tickets: $15 Admission includes concessions and the reception.
