October 7th Commemoration

Join the Barshop JCC and Jewish Federation of San Antonio in commemorating October 7th with a screening of the film "The Last Stand".
The Last Stand became one of the most formative stories of October 7th. Dozens of terrorists stormed the Sderot Police Station, faced by only several police officers. Through monologues, videos and communication recordings, the story of the battle is retold in powerfully, up to the dramatic decision to destroy the building.
Following the film there will be a debrief/discussion. More details coming soon.
Please note: Registration is required and walk-ins will not be accepted. ID will be required and guests are subject to bag search.

Jewish 101 Parent Workshop

This workshop is designed for families who participate in our programs who are interested in gaining a basic understanding of Judaism. Rachel Henson will share information and answer some of your questions about Jewish Holidays, traditions, and symbols.

Mahj by Moonlight

Shuffle, schmooze, and play under the stars! Join us for an evening of Mah Jongg, light bites, drinks, and festive Sukkot vibes in the Campus Sukkah.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, all skill levels are welcome.

Shabbat Playgroup

Parents and little ones (infants through preschool) enjoy open play in the Motor Skills Room beginning at 9am before heading to the Block and Dreeben School for Young Children Community Shabbat. Shabbat Playgroups are held once a month.

Salsa in the Sukkah

Join us on September 24 from 3:30pm-5:30pm at the JCC's Sukkah, on the Campus of the San Antonio Jewish Community. We will shake the lulav and etrog, enjoy roasted corn, chips and salsa!
There will be crafts and games for the whole family!
This family-friendly event is free and open to the community.
